CONTROL THE DIET AND ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS WITHOUT WEIGHT GAIN

When the pilgrims celebrated the first Thanksgiving Day, the main concern was having enough food to survive the winter.

Today, times have changed, and we have to worry about "surviving" the holidays, where typically the supply of food is much greater than our needs.
The holiday seems to be a great trap for the excess food. I know that during the holiday season, it is virtually impossible not to eat more than we want, but in practice, we could adopt some of the attitudes in order to embrace the holiday without getting a huge guilt and an increase of the weight on the scale.
Below are some more tips that may be helpful:
-Take care of what you eat in the weeks that precede it, decreasing the intake of fats, refined carbohydrates, and calories, and remember to exercise more.
- Eat something before. If you do not eat during the whole day, in the time of the party you may be hungry and lose control. Eat something low-calorie but filling: an apple, a biscuit made with whole-wheat flour or a small bowl of soup or whole-grain cereal.
  • Put on your plate 20% less food of high-calorie and 20% more fruits, and vegetables. Studies show that you probably won't notice the difference.

-Choose foods that leave tracks, for example, bones of chicken wings on your plate, because in this way you will eat less.

-Try not to put more than two or three items on your plate each time, because we eat more when the food is in front of us.

-Eat slowly and chew food well. Remember: the faster you eat, the more we eat! After the meal, the brain takes 20 minutes to realize that the body is satiated. Drink a little water between bites. Meals during the festive holidays, they usually take no more and if you eat voraciously, your plate will be empty when other people are still eating, which will lead you to repeat. If you drink a sip of water every two bites, so the desacelerará. You will not eat so much and not feel empanturrado.
  • If you have a choice, use a dish smaller and always try to serve! You should be aware of that puts on your plate.

-Take care of the alcohol, which is rich in calories and slows down metabolism. Alcohol also impairs judgment, so the more you drink but will eat.

Good luck! I am sure that you will very well take advantage of the coming holidays without changing the weight from your scale. Be happy!
